Preheat the oven to 160 degrees.

Grease the baking tin with butter, line it with baking paper and grease it again with a little butter.

Beat the rest of the butter with the sugar on high volume for about 5 minutes until the mixture is soft yellow and fluffy. Scrape it off the walls in between.

Meanwhile, mix the flour, baking powder and salt well in a bowl.

Pour the condensed milk into the butter mixture in a steady, thin stream while the mixer is running on medium.

When all the milk has been absorbed and you have a homogeneous mixture, add the eggs one at a time. Leave the mixer on again on the medium setting. Then add the vanilla extract.

Scrape the mixture off the walls again. Turn the mixer on to the lowest setting and add the flour little by little. When all the flour is mixed, turn off the mixer.

Pour the batter into the greased cake tin and smooth the top. Place in the preheated oven and bake the salted caramel cake for about an hour until golden brown, until a skewer comes out clean.
