OMG, we love French toast. This variant has a crispy cornflake crust and is super easy to make.
- brioche or white bread, cut into 2.5 cm slices
- 3 eggs
- 450 ml whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 500 grams of cornflakes
Beat the eggs, milk and spices together. Crush the cornflakes with a rolling pin. Dip the bread through the egg/milk mixture (let it soak well) and then through the cornflakes. Fry the French toast in a well-greased pan over a medium heat, until the bread is brown on both sides. Finish with butter and syrup and… devour.
