In this monthly overview you can read about Eric’s birthday, which new recipes will be online soon, new plans for LeukRecepten and fun (takeaway) hotspots!

The month of February was of course also dominated by snow and ice. Although I enjoyed it for 2 days, I was quickly done with it. And our dog Payo too, but we did take some nice pictures of this special moment.

It was Eric’s birthday on February 8, we didn’t really celebrate it, but I did bake a cake, a lemon meringue. This updated recipe will be online soon.

Behind the scenes there has been a lot of cooking, baking and photography. A few recipes that I’ve made that will be online soon are: fish with lemon from the oven, pasta all’arrabbiata and oatmeal cookies.

We don’t do much special on Valentine’s Day ourselves, but I thought it would be nice to order dinner for the two of us, and that became the Valentine’s menu of restaurant Welp in Eindhoven with a romantic dessert 🙂

We also ordered from Roll or Bowl from time to time, here you can order delicious recipes as a wrap or a salad. And they deliver throughout Eindhoven and the surrounding area and are also available at various places and times with a food truck. I had a roll with black rice and tempeh.

And did you know that you can also order cocktails and have them delivered? We ordered a few from Luzt that you only have to shake briefly with some ice at home. Very tasty!

Behind the scenes we are working on a lot of fun new things, because we will soon be launching something new and quite unique. It has everything to do with inspiration and recipes for the whole week. We are now in the testing phase and if all goes well we will go live in March.

I am also working on new recipes for Easter and King’s Day. No idea how we’re going to celebrate this years but you can always make something delicious 🙂

Eric and I walked the city walk in Eindhoven, a super fun initiative that also exists in other cities. You will receive a route by email and then visit various catering stops for tasty snacks and drinks.

In addition to the snow, some days it also seemed almost spring. I have already worked a lot in the garden and the spring onions and parsley in my vegetable garden have fortunately survived the frost, but there is still work to be done.

And I also had a nice lunch outside in the garden. This time I made tasty crackers with avocado, goat cheese, chili pepper and sprouts.

I also received very tasty and fun mail with new products, such as these vegan chocolate bars from Hands off my chocolate. And they’re just as tasty and creamy as milk-based bars. Now for sale in the store.

And 3 enterprising students have developed something very beautiful: Snecco. These are delicious Dutch chips in recyclable packaging. Because this is not possible with the standard plastic bags with aluminum foil on the inside. They are for sale at Jumbo in Brabant and hopefully soon in more places.
