Preparation

Then stir in about 2 tablespoons of crème frache and let the mixture simmer for another 2 minutes. Take a sheet of dough and press out a circle with a cooking ring or bowl (you can roll the dough that is left into a stem and make dough sticks). Sprinkle the surface with a little flour if necessary to prevent sticking. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the mixture into the center of the circle of dough.

Fold the dough in half and press the edges well, this can be done with a fork, but you can also fold the edges diagonally so that a nice dough edge is created (see video). Place the empanadas on a lined baking tray and beat the egg. Brush the top of the pastry patties. Bake them for 25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Delicious both hot and cold and with or without dipping sauce.
