Blondies with lavender

Must Try

White chocolate blondies with the surprising ingredient lavender. Taste spring in these crunchy and chewy blondies.

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 160° degrees.
Melt the butter over low heat. Pour into a bowl and let cool in the fridge. It should not be too hot when you do this with the rest of the ingredients, otherwise the eggs will coagulate.
Take a large bowl where you will mix all the ingredients. Place it on your scale and add the flour, caster sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, eggs and lavender. Once the butter has cooled, add it too. Mix for about 5 minutes and in between scrape the batter that has settled on the sides of your mixing bowl and through your batter.
Chop the chocolate and macadamia nuts into small pieces. Fold (do not mix) this through your mixture.
Take a baking pan and put baking paper in it. Grease it lightly with butter. Spread the mixture in the baking pan.
Bake the blondies for 50 minutes, maybe 60 minutes. Every oven is different. They are ready when the top feels hard. You can tap on it.
Let the blondies cool in the mold.
Tips: You can also store the blondies in your freezer. Cut them before putting them in. This way you can always give unexpected visitors (or yourself) something tasty. After about half an hour they are thawed and you can’t taste that they come out of the freezer.
There are different types of lavender and you can eat them all. There is a difference in taste. The easiest is to buy them at Dille & Kamille or another store with natural products. You can also make delicious tea from it along with other fresh or dried herbs.
