Creamy coffee mousse with ricotta

Must Try

A very simple, but oh so delicious Italian dessert with a super creamy coffee cream. Serve it extra nice in a glass with tasty toppings.

Blend the whipping cream until soft peaks form, then set aside.
In another bowl, mix the ricotta and icing sugar until creamy and smooth. Gradually add the espresso (cooled) and the marsala wine.
Layer a few crumbled cookies in glasses with the ricotta coffee cream. Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
Before serving, grate over a little dark chocolate and sprinkle with coarsely chopped hazelnuts.
Tip: Marsala wine is a kind of Italian port. Also available at the liquor store.
This recipe is from Letitia Clark’s book La Vita e Dolce with the delicious sweet Italian recipes. From desserts such as panna cotta to cakes and of course tiramisu. The book is 272 pages and contains beautiful photos and illustrations.
