Easy meal of stacked tortilla wraps with an Italian meat sauce, vegetables and mozzarella in between, tasty and fun to serve!



 Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Cut the zucchini and bell pepper into cubes and finely chop the onion and garlic. Heat a little butter or oil in a pan and fry these vegetables with onion and garlic for a few minutes until they have shrunk slightly and the moisture has disappeared.

 Then remove the vegetables from the pan and fry the minced meat in the pan. Then add the fried vegetables to the minced meat and season the mixture with the Italian herbs, a pinch of salt and pepper. Then stir in the tomato puree and then the tomato sauce. Let the mixture simmer and thicken slightly.

 Grease a round dish (for example a quiche tin or springform tin) with a little butter or oil. Place a wrap on the bottom and scoop some of the tomato sauce with minced meat and vegetables on top (keep in mind that you have to make 8 layers of this). Spread some pieces of mozzarella on top along with some pine nuts and a few basil leaves.

 Then place a new wrap on this and repeat until the wraps and sauce are used up. Sprinkle the top of the Italian wrap pie with some grated cheese and put it in the oven for about 20 minutes. Garnish the wrap pie with some fresh basil before serving.

 Tip: also delicious with a fresh salad. Also use vegetarian minced meat for a vegetarian variant or replace the minced meat with an extra bell pepper.
