Add the hot stock and stir well. Add the bay leaf and gently bring the pan to a boil. Stew everything for about 45 minutes with the lid on the pan at an angle. Stir a few times in between. If you notice that the stew is getting too thick, add a little water. Do you want the stew a little thicker? Then remove the lid from the pan.
