Easy Air Fryer Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

    • Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs – 2 pounds

    • Olive Oil – 2 tablespoons

    • Garlic Powder – 1 teaspoon

    • Onion Powder – 1 teaspoon

    • Paprika – 1 teaspoon

    • Dried Oregano – 1 teaspoon

    • Salt – 1 teaspoon

    • Black Pepper – ½ teaspoon

    • Lemon Juice – 1 tablespoon (optional for added brightness)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Thighs
Start by patting 2 pounds of boneless skinless chicken thighs dry with paper towels. This step helps the seasoning stick better and ensures a crispy finish.
  2. Make the Marinade
In a large bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of olive oil with the following seasonings:

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
If you like a bit of zest, add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the mixture. Stir everything until well combined.

  1. Coat the Chicken
Add the chicken thighs to the bowl with the marinade. Toss the chicken in the mixture until each piece is well coated with the seasoning.
  2. Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. Preheating helps achieve that perfect golden-brown exterior.
  3. Arrange the Chicken Thighs
Place the seasoned chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Be careful not to overcrowd the basket to allow hot air to circulate evenly.
  4. Cook the Chicken
Air fry the chicken for 18 to 20 minutes. Flip the thighs halfway through cooking to ensure even browning and doneness.
  5. Check for Doneness
Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the chicken. It should read 165°F (75°C) for safe consumption. If needed, cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
