Mmm.. Fries! So nice and crispy and with a nice dollop of homemade mayonnaise, enjoy! It may not be the most culinary delight, but once in a while you just feel like it. Unfortunately, fried fries are a calorie bomb that you say to you, so we have a tasty recipe for crispy oven fries.
- 1 kg (slightly) floury potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Sea salt
Preheat the oven to 225 degrees and cut the potatoes into the desired thickness. Place them in a bowl of cold water and let it sit for 15 minutes, then take them out and pat them dry with kitchen paper. Make sure you dry them well or they won’t bake properly.
Place the fries on a baking tray lined with baking paper and sprinkle with the olive oil and sea salt. Bake them for 30 minutes, turning them frequently. How long the fries need to bake differs per oven and the thickness of your fries, always check and taste to see if they are good.
