Wasabi pea hummus from Roos

After her delicious easy sushi meal , Roos is  back, and how! This time with a recipe for hummus, but a little different with, among other things, wasabi and peas. yum! 

  • 1 can of chickpeas
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 50 grams peas (from frozen)
  • 3 tablespoons tahini (sesame paste)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon wasabi paste
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For this recipe I used canned chickpeas, but you can also choose to use dried chickpeas. Soak it at least two hours in advance.

Drain the chickpeas and put them in a blender along with the green peas. Grind finely then add the wasabi, lemon juice, tahini and garlic and puree until smooth. Add the olive oil while stirring to make it a bit smoother.

Finally, season with salt and pepper and serve on pita bread, toasted bread or as a dip.
