The best soup for a hangover

Suffering from a big hangover? Then make this soup from Tadashi Ono from restaurant MaisonO in New York City and it will disappear like snow in the sun! 

  • 450 grams chicken breast without skin, in small pieces
  • 1/4 Chinese cabbage, cut into small pieces
  • 2 lightly crumbly potatoes, in wedges
  • 8 shiitakes, halved
  • 1/2 package tofu, cut into 4 pieces
  • 30 grams Harusame (glass noodles), soaked
  • 4 spring onions, cut into pieces 5 centimeters long
  • 950 ml chicken stock
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 240  ponzu  (or lemon juice and soy sauce) for dipping

Place all ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to low and skim off if necessary.

Cook for five minutes and serve with the ponzu to dip the ingredients in.

Serve with fried onions if desired.
