The spice paste
How does it work? The starting point is that you make a homemade herb paste (with seasonings such as chili paste, soy sauce and garlic). The recipe for this can be found here . This spice paste keeps well in the fridge for 2 months. Read: you can prepare a lot of noodle jars with this in the near future.
To prep the instant noodle jars:
What else do you need to prepare such a noodle jar?
- A 500 ml preserving jar
- 1 tablespoon of the homemade herb paste
- 1 portion instant noodles
- 1 portion of vegetables and other things you like with noodles
And this is how you get started:
Fill the preserving jar with a tablespoon of spice paste and arrange the noodles on top. Then fill the pot with ingredients that you like with noodles. This is the perfect way to use up leftovers. In terms of vegetables, you can think of broccoli florets, baby corn or fine strips of cabbage. In terms of meat, you can use up leftovers of chicken and beef and also think of ingredients such as a hard-boiled egg, nori strips or mushrooms.
Storing and eating the noodle jars
Depending on the ingredients, the noodle jars can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Do you want to eat them? All you have to do is boil water and add it to the preserving jar. Wait 2 minutes until the noodles are cooked, stir everything well and… Time to Eat !
