It is always difficult to find a good recipe for gluten-free bread, and when we found this recipe for gluten-free flatbread we were blown away. No, it is not the same as the “normal” bread, but certainly a good substitute .
For 10 flatbreads:
- 500 grams gluten-free whole wheat flour
- 300-450ml water
- Pinch of sea salt
Preheat your oven to 180-200 degrees (depending on the strength of your oven). Mix the flour, water and salt and knead into a thick, but not too wet dough. So don’t add all the water at once, but test what is the best consistency for you. Cover and let it rest for thirty minutes.
Roll out the dough on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for about twenty minutes. Check if the bread is cooked by sticking a fork in it. Is this clean? Then you’re fine.
Cut the bread into pieces and serve immediately.
Is this recipe a little too boring for you? If necessary, add fresh herbs, seeds and, for example, garlic to taste.
