Quick strawberry sauce from your last leftover summer kings

Must Try

This recipe is so simple that it can hardly be called a recipe. Still, we wanted to share this with you, because it’s the ideal trick to ‘get rid’ of your last bit of strawberries, which are almost past their best time.

Ingredients

For 1 big jar:

  • strawberries
  • crystal sugar
  • Water
  • Yogurt (or ice cream)

De-crown the strawberries and put them in a pan with some water and granulated sugar (sweeten it to your own taste). Let it boil for 5 to 10 minutes on medium heat.

Tip: If you like exciting flavors, a little splash of balsamic vinegar is very tasty (try it!).

Serve the strawberry sauce still warm with yogurt for breakfast or with a scoop of ice cream for dessert.
