For 4 muffins:

  • 6 eggs
  • 8 slices of (cat) bacon
  • 80 ml milk
  • Pepper and salt
  • Optional: Parmesan cheese
  • muffin tin
  • Olive oil or cooking spray

Beat 6 eggs with 80 ml milk and salt and pepper to taste. It is best to do this in a cup or bowl with a pouring spout, so that you can easily pour into the moulds.

Grease a muffin tin (we used a silicone muffin tin) with some olive oil or cooking spray. In each mold, press two slices of bacon against the inner edges so that the entire edge is covered with bacon.

Pour the egg mixture into the moulds. You can fill them almost all the way to the brim, or halfway. If you like, you can grate some Parmesan cheese over the top for an even savory taste.

Place the muffins in the oven for 15 to 18 minutes: the egg should no longer be wobbly in the middle, but just nicely set. Tasty!
