The month of September was a busy month, not only with birthdays but also with various appointments and I noticed that the summer holidays were really over. But Eric and I were allowed to go away for a week in September, look where to.
My little niece turned 2 and that was celebrated with cake and a nice party. How big she is already!
My brother-in-law Bart also gave a party on his roof terrace with delicious cocktails, but that is also allowed if you have a site with cocktail recipes called Cocktailicious 🙂
We were invited for a press trip to Cyprus, how cool was that! We got to know the Cypriot cuisine and the country. My report from Cyprus is now online.
We had an appointment at Piet Hein Eek, one of my favorite restaurants for lunch in Eindhoven. This was my lunch of a vegan sandwich with beetroot. So good!
And then it was my birthday too! Hip Hip Hooray! I turned 32 and celebrated this with a dinner at the Italian Dolce Vita in Son.
Sabine from Oh My Foodness released a new book called: Cheesecake. Yes, so with lots of tasty cheesecake recipes. I already made one that will be online soon.
I went to the event Meet the Foodies, organized by my media agency. Various presentations were given and there was time for a drink.
My sister also had something to celebrate, she passed her education. That’s why it was at her party, and that was a great opportunity to see her new kitten. so cute!
In addition to all those fun parties, trips and appointments, there was also hard cooking and work. Because everything has to be made up again, unfortunately I don’t have a colleague who takes over. So that often means sitting at the computer in the evenings, but that’s okay, especially not together with Payo.
To celebrate my birthday I also had dinner with my girlfriend and daughter at Mr Sister in Eindhoven. I ordered a delicious burger with sweet potato fries, so tasty!
I also received a lot of nice food mail! The new book by Ottolenghi called Simpel, 3 new flavors Tony Chocolonely, new apple pie mix and cake mixes from Koopmans.
And it went on for a while: vegan pink cakes from Donny Craves, Plant-based drinks from Becel and new filled wraps and toasted sandwiches from No Fairytales. So nice to be able to taste them all! On my Instagram (stories) I share more about it and what I think of it.
That was it again, October is luckily a bit quieter (I think) but behind the scenes I’m working on some adjustments for the site for which I recently conducted a survey. So to be continued! Do you want to stay informed about new recipes, facts and personal updates? Then follow me on Instagram.
