It was hot! The BBQ was therefore regularly turned on and we occasionally ate a snack outside the door. I also visited a few festivals and cooled down in the pool.
We went with my in-laws to eat at De Karpendonksehoeve, a star restaurant in Eindhoven. The food was delicious and well worth a star!
We also ate at Usine, one of the most relaxed eating places in Eindhoven. Lots of space, nice menu and industrial interior. Eric went for the mussel pan and I for the king prawn salad.
But there was also a lot of cooking in our own kitchen. Jaimy helps me 2 Fridays a month and then we can run a lot of production.
Among other things, we all made tasty (tapas) snacks, most of which have yet to come online. The gazpacho with chicken skewer can already be found online.
Although we were just at home in the month of July, we did a lot of fun things. For example, we went to the North Sea Jazz festival in Rotterdam for 2 days. A party every year!
And we were invited for a press lunch at a new Stan & Co branch in Zeist. How beautiful it has become! And the menu was also great, lots of tasty (vegan) options, which resulted in choice stress.
There was also something less fun on the schedule: the VAT return. That means collecting a lot of receipts, invoices and data. Fortunately I had delicious choco almonds with cinnamon from Chokay.
On the other hand, it is also very nice to be your own entrepreneur. So I could easily take a Wednesday afternoon off to go for a swim with my nephew and niece.

I attended a salsa festival (not that I can dance salsa though) which was a lot of fun. Then I went with my girlfriend for a bite to eat at SoulKitchen on Strijp S in Eindhoven. The menu is not very extensive, but the food is very tasty and for a good price.
And while we were there at Strijp S, an ice cream at my favorite ice cream parlor in Eindhoven: Intelligentia ice. I chose an exciting combination of lime with red pepper ice cream and it was quite spicy, it just made me feel warmer haha.
The last week of July it was almost unbearable at home because of the extreme heat. That’s why I looked for a flexible workplace. Super relaxed! Cool, free wifi lunch options and absolutely free. So you’ll find me more often at Aristio.
We also cooled Payo by means of an inflatable bath, although this Spanish dog seems to have little trouble with the heat. And I secretly enjoyed it myself.
