Suddenly it’s December and time for kruidnoten, gifts and Christmas dinner of course. A lot of preparation went into this in November. And we went to the sun for a week. Take a look:
We started the month of November with a week’s holiday to Gran Canaria together with my in-laws. My father-in-law turned 65 and we celebrated that with a nice lunch on the beach.
One of the tastiest things I’ve eaten there is this paella. Delicious with a glass of sangria in the sun. I’m looking forward to it again!
Back in the Netherlands, a nice event was already planned, namely the one of a new Dille and Kamille in Eindhoven. Wow he has grown so beautiful and big!
And of course there was our dog again! How I had missed Payo! Luckily he was in good hands with Eric’s aunt and uncle during our vacation. But so nice to see this happy face again.
I discovered a new fun hotspot in Eindhoven: HeyDays. Here you can enjoy a nice lunch, dinner or a nice drink in the evening. Anyway, the food was really great!
I stood in front of the camera with Eric and recorded a cooking battle. I started working with a Knorr world dish and Eric made the original recipe. Curious who the winner is? Then read my blog with the cooking battle.
I received a lot of nice and tasty mail this month. Among other things, these bars Hands off my chocolate. But of course I did share them.
I also received a very special food post, namely a beef wellington package from Boers & Boers containing a nice piece of Chateaubriand, puff pastry, farce, lomo ham and a meat thermometer. It turned out perfectly and ideal for Christmas if you want to easily put something special on the table. You can order this and other meat products such as stuffed turkey on the Boers & Boers site .
And I discovered a very cool new place in my hometown Eindhoven: waffelicious ! You eat the tastiest fresh waffles and you can choose your toppings yourself. How about Oreos, Kinderbueno and fresh fruit!
Eric and I took a small part of the Glow route that is held every year in Eindhoven. The most beautiful light works of art can then be admired in the city.
It was also very busy this month, especially with the Christmas preparations. I made a lot of new Christmas dishes and wrote blogs for various collaborations. That’s why I spent a lot of time behind the computer, but with a cup of hot chocolate. Everything will be online in December :).
Have you seen them in the supermarket yet? calettes! It is a cross between kale and Brussels sprouts and very tasty. I got a package to taste them and made pesto with it, tasty and healthy!
And another package with sweets: kruidnoten in many different surprising flavors from Van Delft. Together with Jamie I went to taste. My favorite is the stroopwafel kruidnoot and Jaimy went for the pink ruby chocolate kruidnoot.
Another nice thing that took place on the first day of December but I would like to share with you already. We are in the AD every Saturday in December with a recipe! There will of course also be festive recipes in the newspaper soon.
The next monthly overview will appear in the new year! Oh how exciting, I can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store. In any case, a new website that we are working on and the monthly overview will also be given a new name: News, foodpost & hotspots. I thought that would cover the load better.
