Must Try

September was a real festive month! With birthdays and my book came out! You can read how I celebrated all this despite corona in this blog!

In September I started working on new tasty recipes, especially autumn recipes with pumpkin, apples and mushrooms. Autumn is my favorite season when it comes to food, so it’s a joy to cook with these ingredients again.

But in September it was still nice and warm outside, so an ice cream was possible. Usually I go for yogurt cherry flavor.

As I said, September is a festive month and also includes the birthday of our niece Lois. And because she is so fond of animals, especially dogs, they were also allowed to come to the party, which we celebrated outside in the park with a small group.

We were also lucky with the weather during our weekend in the Veluwe. We had a lovely walk with our dog Payo and enjoyed the heather that was still in bloom a bit.

And the most special moment of the month was when my book came out! It came out on September 8 and it is now in bookstores and can of course also be ordered online . Knowing more? Here you can browse the book for a taste.

I hadn’t organized a party or anything, but it was very nice that there was a lot of media attention for the book. I was featured in various magazines such as Santé, Viva, Mjam Taarten and I was featured on Omroep Brabant. In addition, I also received flowers, cards and goodies from family and friends.

It was also my birthday during this busy holiday month. I turned 34 and made a delicious Kinder bueno cake.

I celebrated my birthday corona-proof in 4 days, a dinner with in-laws, a lunch with my good friend, a visit to my family and dinner with Eric. It was actually nice to split everything up and have focused attention for everyone.

Eric gave me a very nice bracelet with the letter Payo. Was very happy with this, so sweet that Eric did that.

On my birthday itself I went out for dinner with Eric at restaurant Welp. And luckily the weather was nice so we could still sit outside.

I visited the Culipers lunch. This is an annual event where companies and brands show their new products in the field of food. Much was dominated by vegan food and I tasted delicious things such as this vega burger on naan bread.

My publishing house Nieuw Amsterdam was also there with a stand and my book! So nice to see. Of course I had a chat and of course I had to take a picture.

I got a delicious food post again! A box full of chocolate from Hands Of My Chocolate. And I also gave away a box on Instagram. So follow me there for more fun giveaways in the future.

I got even more goodies: brigadeiros from SweetHapje. These are Brazilian sweet snacks, a kind of bonbons, that you can order for any occasion. And they also fit through the letterbox, so also nice to give as a thank you or gift.

Rutger van Rutger Bakt has collected 100 of his best recipes in a new book! So if you are still looking for a baking book with a collection of the best baking recipes, this is definitely for you.

I also received very nice bottles with the number 1 premium olive oil from Greece: Altis olive oil. Not only are the bottles very beautiful, but the content is also top notch, a wonderfully full-bodied olive oil for various preparations.
