In this monthly overview you get a look behind the scenes, you see which new recipes will be online soon and I share new products.
I made delicious tompouces, also known as Easter tompouces because I made them a nice yellow color and used eggnog in the filling. It was quite a bit of work, usually I make quick recipes but this was totally worth it!
Fortunately, the hairdressers were allowed to open again! And I was very happy about that. I went for a fresh blond haircut again. With a mouth cap on and my hair full of foils it looked like this, haha.
In March it was also the Week without meat, now a well-known concept in the Netherlands. Although I have been eating vegetarian for almost a year now, I am now also trying to go plant-based more often. For example, vegetable milk in my coffee, margarine on bread and oat cream instead of cooking cream. But as far as I’m concerned, cheese and eggs are still irreplaceable.
When I was walking with Payo we passed a bed with daffodils and that made for a nice picture. Payo had to pose for a while, but he wanted to for a cookie.
In the run-up to Easter I have already eaten a lot of chocolate eggs, often during work and typing out new recipes.
I made a new E-book. Full of new fresh spring recipes. You can download it for free if you have an account on LeukRecepten. If not, create an account here .
Voting was of course also held in March. In the run-up to the elections, I thoroughly immersed myself in politics and parties. I find it more and more interesting and I am happy that I was able to vote again.
A lot of new recipes were made, for example these American pancakes and they turned out very well. The recipe will be online soon.
It was lovely spring weather in March. I also enjoyed the garden and occasionally sat outside with the laptop. Working on all kinds of fun new ideas that will go live soon.
The magnolia was also in bloom. This little tree with us only had 2 flowers or so last year and now it has a lot on 20! Really beautiful.
I also received a very nice food post. Including this ready-made vegan sauce with pieces of meat substitutes from Pianta. Just add some pasta and you’re done!
And I also got something very special! Boer’n yoghurt from the Zuivelhoeve with the taste of Licor 43. And that tasted fantastic! I was allowed to give away 5 packages on Instagram, do you also want to participate in fun giveaways in the future? Then follow me on Instagram!
I love ginger and these Holy shots with ginger were also well liked. 100% natural and ideal to start the day.
And something funny! A baking hose. This is a flexible baking pan that is made of silicone and that you secure on a baking tray with magnets. You can easily make any cake shape you want! Developed and made for students.
I also started working with a spice paste from Sorgh & Hoop. These Surinamese spice pastes are much more than just a product, they represent a mission to draw attention to the Sirian cuisine and culture and make it accessible. For sale at Jumbo.
Baking blogger Laura’s bakery has published a new book. One to write down your best and favorite recipes yourself, including a storage folder, stickers and handy tabs. Truly a book to keep or use often.
