We ordered delicious food at Bamiyan, an Afghan restaurant in Eindhoven. So nice weather! I can eat this every day.
What about our NiceRecipes cookbook ? Good! We have now submitted all texts and photos and are now working on the final corrections to the design. And good news, instead of 85, more than 100 recipes fit in the book!
On June 15 it was our dog Payo’s birthday, has already turned 8 years old. He is already slowly turning gray on his face but is still enthusiastic as a puppy. Now that the weather is nice, he can regularly lick the last bit of our ice cream, nice that he thinks that!
I visited my favorite ice cream parlor in Eindhoven: Intelligentia on Strijp S. They always have surprising flavors and this time had an Efteling theme. Oh and the whole salon is pink!
After a long time we visited friends of ours in Maastricht. Together with our dogs we took a walk in the hills of Maastricht, really beautiful there!

This month the topic of racism was central, partly because of Black Lives matter. Lately I have also started to delve more into the subject and have watched an interesting documentary: Why we hate on NPO. A must to watch.
We went out for dinner at Welp in Eindhoven. It was nice to be able to enjoy a nice meal on the terrace outside. I went for the carpaccio of zucchini and halibut as a main course.
The barbeque was also turned on a few times. We made flammkuchen that you really cook perfectly on the Big Green Egg! I also made some new barbecue recipes that will be online soon.
I had a pink chai tea latte at Good Tea Stories in Eindhoven with a friend. So tasty and a nice place on Strijp S to drink tea with a (vegan) piece of cake.
We went to Zeeland for a weekend, to Dishoek. Nice to the beach, but we also took the laptop with us to work occasionally. The first night we had dinner on the beach at De Zeebries, I went for the shrimp curry.
Along the beach you can walk very nicely in the dunes, so you have a beautiful view of the beach and the nice beach houses.
The other evening we ate at beach bar Piet Hein, there we went together with fellow friends for an extensive snack board and after that I only had room for a salad.
We were treated to a beautiful sunset, which of course had to be captured!
I received another delicious food post, and hereby an update of all new products. I am a big fan of Vivera’s meat substitutes and I was sent their new plant chicken tenders and the schnitzel with Beemster cheese. Both were very tasty, especially the plant chicken tenders are worth repeating!
