News, food post & hotspots – February 2019

Must Try

This short month is over! I have festive news as well as an important and practical announcement. And of course lots of tasty food photos and food post!

I’ll start with an important household announcement: if everything goes according to plan, the renewed will go live on Wednesday 6 March, super exciting! As a result, you will temporarily not be able to log in or create an account between Monday 4 March and Wednesday 6 March. But there’s something really cool in return!

In the month of February I tested a lot behind the scenes and adjusted the last things. Especially on the mobile version a lot of things are going to change, soon a blog will be online with all the points that are new. I’m curious what you think about it.

Eric had his birthday at the beginning of February, and we celebrated that together with his family at Italian restaurant Da Verdi in Eindhoven. And also our nephew and niece were there who slurped delicious soup and spaghetti.

And even more festive news, because I became an aunt to 2 little girls named Zoë and Sophie. My brother and wife had twins. And to celebrate this, a nice snack food came online from chocolate fudge with mice.

I also received a delicious food post this month: Handsoff chocolate in different flavors. My favorite is the red velvet bar! The chocolate is for sale at, among others, the AH and Jumbo.

And more mail from De Kleine Soepfabriek with vegan pea soup and pure tomato soup. The latter also came out on top in Questionmark’s test. The soup is for sale at Jumbo, AH and health food stores.

I went shopping in Maastricht for a day with my girlfriend, and the weather was great! We therefore wanted to sit outside on the terrace at Restaurant Zuid, but unfortunately it was already full. We did enjoy a delicious tapas board inside.

I also went out again in Eindhoven to try out new restaurants. For example, I went to eat at Next Door with Eric. Here I opted for the papadum with tuna and a zucchini pizza with pulled chicken. The food was delicious and the atmosphere and interior is very cozy and stylish.

It was of course really lovely spring weather this month with lots of sun and temperatures around 20 degrees! We therefore enjoyed a lovely long walk on Sunday morning with Payo and his beagle friend Sawyer. And then take a nap in the garden on the sun lounger with Payo close to me. Enjoy this so much.

I recently discovered the library in Eindhoven, where I now sometimes go to work behind my laptop. And a big advantage is that you can have a delicious lunch with, for example, bread with beetroot and feta and a green smoothie.

I visited a cabaret show by Peter Pannekoek, I think he is fantastic and his show was hilarious again. Afterwards I took a picture with him which made the evening complete.

I also went back to work in the kitchen myself, making new recipes such as kale risotto and low-carb waffles. But also spring recipes such as asparagus cannelloni and a fresh couscous salad with snow peas.

In March the new site will go live and we will go to southern Spain for another week, which I am really looking forward to. I will of course share the photos and tips in my next News, foodpost & hotspots overview of March. Do you want to stay informed about new recipes, facts and personal updates? Then follow me on Instagram.
