April was a fun and festive month, it was Easter we had a few parties and we went to Berlin for a weekend for a special reason.
I received a lot of nice and tasty mail, including the new Delicious. With a new design and a new layout. He looks really beautiful!
Starbucks coffee is now also available in the supermarket in whole and ground beans, as Nespresso cups and for the Dulce Gusto. And I got a package at home with a nice mug to test the coffee.
We had such lovely weather in April, time for an ice cream with a disco dip! Payo also likes a lick, but that’s not going to happen 🙂
I made a lot of new tasty recipes, not all for here on the site but also a few commissioned for other brands and for publications. Hopefully I can show this to you next month.
I also received book mail again, among others. Rurtger Bakt’s new book Cakes. I have already made something out of it and the recipe for blueberry cake and the review are online.
Another nice post from Tony’s, no less than 2 x! The Milk Shortbread Caramel is in the permanent range and my favorite the Milk Cinnamon Biscuit is back forever! Yes!
And it was a party, my daddy turned 60 and my parents had arranged something nice for dinner. A buffet with sandwiches and wraps with pulled pork and pulled chicken.
Eric’s grandmother also had a birthday and turned 95, we celebrated this with the whole family and delicious Indo food of course such as this rendang.
My favorite series started again this month: Game of Thrones. Unfortunately the last season so enjoy it even more! Who’s watching too?
It was Easter, we didn’t really do anything very Easter-like, but we did go out for dinner at Nu in Eersel. Here we sat outside on the terrace and my nephew and niece could play outside.
We also ate at El Puente in Eindhoven, this one had been on my list for a long time. You can especially sit outside by the water, the food was also very tasty. It’s not very cheap but it was definitely worth a visit.
Something completely different but also super tasty was our meal at Tasty Syria in the Kruisstraat in Eindhoven. I went for the fresh falafel and Eric and our friend Mo for the chicken.
I paid a visit to my regular hairdresser Nienke from Zo Mooi in Eindhoven. I had my hair dyed a lot lighter and I’m really happy with the result. And I also got a tip from Nienke: this turnip greens stew.
I also received a nice package from Made.com with super nice wine glasses, cutlery and kitchen textiles from the new collection. Totally summery too!
The last weekend of April I went with my sister and our men to Berlin, we went on a maternity visit with our brother who together with his wife had twins, two girls.
It was so nice to finally see and hold them in real life. Of course we also enjoyed the city of Berlin and had a nice meal at the Hard rock cafe.
Of course I also spent a lot of time in the kitchen, I made a delicious Thai stir fry, tacos with fish and fruit salad. These will be online soon. Do you want to stay informed about new recipes, facts and personal updates? Then follow me on Instagram.
