Heat a pan with sunflower oil to about 175 degrees. Dip two spoons in the oil and spoon a little of the batter into the pan. It should start fizzing immediately, otherwise the fat will not be hot enough. Turn them over in time so that the other side is also nicely browned. They are ready in about 2 minutes, if you make normal-sized oliebollen 3 to 4 minutes. Remove them from the pan with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper. Sprinkle with some powdered sugar before serving.
