Baked brie in puff pastry

Must Try

This soft cheese in a crispy puff pastry crust with pecan and jam is nice to serve with (Christmas) drinks or on a cheese board.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
If you use 4 loose puff pastry sheets, stick them together as a square. With a roll of fresh dough, cut it in half into 2 pieces.
Divide some pecan nuts in the middle of the puff pastry in the triangle shape of the piece of brie.
Spread the bottom of the piece of brie with jam. By the way, you can just leave the white crust on the brie, but if you don’t want this, you can also cut it off.
Place the piece of brie with the jam-spread side on top of the pecans on the puff pastry. Fold the puff pastry around the brie and seal well. If you have some dough left, you can also cut out a nice figure and stick it on it.
Beat the egg and brush the puff pastry with it.
Bake the brie in puff pastry for about 25 minutes in the oven until it is golden brown and crispy. Serve lukewarm.
Tip: nice on a cheese board with toast, nuts and fruit.
