BonBonBloc crunchy chocolate cake

Must Try

When seeing and tasting Côte d’Or BonBonBloc, a number of memories from the past immediately come to mind. I well remember that my parents almost always had those bars of chocolate with praline filling in the house, in the candy basket in the cupboard to be precise. And that every now and then I snacked on a piece in the hope that they wouldn’t notice and sometimes the whole bar just disappeared ;).

After that I lost track of the BonBonBloc bars until I recently came across this new bar: BonBonBloc Crunchy. It has the same intense, familiar taste and a delicious soft praline filling, but combined with crunchy pieces of biscuit. Hmmm, now I’m a fan again!

Are you also such a BonBonBloc lover then you should definitely try this recipe for the BonBonBloc crunchy chocolate cake in addition to this new taste. The praline makes the cake extra creamy and the pieces of biscuit create a crunchy bite. No less than 2 whole bars disappeared into the batter. Okay, 2 bars minus 2 cubes because they just disappeared in my mouth just like before!

Spoon the batter into the cake tin and divide the remaining pieces of chocolate over the cake. Place the baking pan in the center of the oven for about 60 to 70 minutes. Check with a skewer if the cake is cooked and then let it cool. If it does not come out of the mold immediately, you can cut it along the edges with a knife.
