Must Try

Actually, I was never so much with Indian and Oriental cuisine. I didn’t know most of the ingredients, let alone how to prepare them. But through my Indian mother-in-law Yvonne I have tasted a lot of Indian dishes and they are delicious! It’s a shame you can’t prepare something like this yourself, I thought.

The recipes on my site are therefore quite simple and contain ingredients such as ketjap, bumbu (spice paste), sambal, ketoembar (coriander seed) or sereh (lemon grass) that you can get in the toko but also in most supermarkets.
Indian dishes are often known for having to spend hours in the kitchen, but I have discovered that this is not always the case. In less than an hour, for example, Yvonne puts an entire rice table with beef rendang, hot chicken, rice and wok vegetables on the table. Below you see the top 10 of the most popular Indian recipes made by Yvonne and/or me. From gado gado to rendang and soto ajam soup.
And if you are looking for a dessert or sweet recipe, go for these klepon (coconut balls), kue dadar (pandan pancake) or kwee mangkok (steamed cakes).
