Jam sticks and sandwiches for Mother’s Day + inspiration

Must Try

Together with Laura and Mariette I made an extensive Mother’s Day brunch with Hero Jam. And I’m really proud of the result! In this blog I share the recipes that are also super quick and easy to make, but with which mothers are optimally spoiled!

The recipes that I share are simple but look very nice and guarantee the wow effect. They are slightly different and literally have a nice and tasty twist. They prove that a Mother’s Day breakfast can be a big feast on the table (or bed) with little effort.

The toast with brie, for example, is very colorful and has a sweet touch of forest fruit jam. And the puff pastry sticks with jam are a delicious crunchy snack that you can also serve in a glass. Both recipes are made with Hero Forest Fruit Jam . It has a nice sweet and fruity taste. And because you can make many more goodies with jam for Mother’s Day, together with Laura from Laura’s Bakery and Mariette from ZoetRecepten, I made an entire brunch table full of delicious dishes.

Laura made delicious croissant puddings with blueberries and apricot jam and festive pancake towers with strawberries, the recipes can be found here on her blog . And Mariette was creative with muffins and made delicious trifles with yogurt and the less sweet Hero jam, her recipes can be found online here. It looked super cozy together! Of course we tasted everything after the photo shoot and it was really delicious! I wish all mothers (and actually everyone haha) such a delicious breakfast or brunch :).

As you can see, you can combine jam not only in sweet recipes but also with savory dishes. And if you want to complete the brunch, make sure to include scones, cinnamon rolls, a smoothie, fresh fruit, boiled eggs and of course a fresh cup of coffee or tea. And if you are looking for even more inspiration, take a look at the Herojamstudio . There you will now find more than 150 recipes with jam.

Contest: upload your favorite jam recipe to the Hero Jam Studio and have a chance to win a KitchenAid toaster this month. For example, think of cakes or other pastries with jam or go for a savory dish such as salad with raspberry dressing. There are plenty of goodies to make with jam! So join us quickly and maybe you’ll make a delicious breakfast in your kitchen with one of these great prices!

Recipe puff pastry sticks with jam

1 roll of fresh puff pastry (or 8 slices from the freezer)
1 egg
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Hero Forest fruit jam

Heat the oven to 200 degrees. Roll out the puff pastry, or if you are using slices from the dirtier, join them together to form a rectangle. Cut the slice in the middle on the long side. Spread one part with the forest fruit jam and place the other half on top. Cut thin strips of the puff pastry with a sharp knife. Try not to push too hard or you may push the jam out.

Take a stem and hold it at both ends and twist it a few times until it forms a twist. Do this with all stems. Make sure they have enough space on the baking sheet. Beat the egg in a bowl and brush the stems with it. Sprinkle with sesame and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes. Let them cool slightly and they will firm up a bit.

You can also make them a day in advance. Then store them in a sealed container and warm them up in the oven for a few minutes.

Also try a different flavor of Hero jam.

Recipe toast with brie and turkey breast

4 slices of toast
4 slices of turkey breast
1 piece brie a 200 gr
Fresh raspberries
Handful of rocket
Hero Forest fruit jam
1 tablespoon walnuts, roughly chopped

Toast the slices of bread. Spread them with a layer of forest fruit jam. Cut the edges of the brie and cut into slices and fill the sandwiches with this. Top with a slice of turkey breast and divide some arugula, walnut and raspberries over it.

For a vegetarian version, omit the turkey.
