Maybe it has to do with the fact that the taste is somewhat like a Hawaiian pizza. The combination of chicken, ham and pineapple is really great! And the chicken stays nice and tender under the topping, even when I warmed it up in the oven the next day.

Hawaiian chicken recipe with Crispy Mini Potatoes
4 chicken breasts
4 slices of ham
4 pineapple slices
Pinch of pepper and salt
Pinch of oregano
60 g grated cheese

600 g green beans
Butter for frying and greasing
Watercress or parsley for garnish
Heat the oven to 200 degrees. Season the chicken with salt, pepper and a pinch of oregano. Heat some butter in a pan and fry the chicken on all sides on a high heat for about 4 minutes. Then place the chicken in a greased baking dish. Place a slice of ham on top and wrap something around it. Place a slice of pineapple on top and sprinkle with some cheese. Bake the Hawaii chicken in the oven for another 15 to 20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through (depending on the thickness).
Bring a pan of water to the boil with a pinch of salt and cook the green beans for about 15 minutes. Clean the frying pan or use another pan and heat a little oil or butter in it. Bake the Crispy Mini-Kreeltjes for 10 minutes until crispy and toss every now and then. Remove the chicken from the oven and garnish with some parsley or watercress if desired and serve with the beans and the Crispy Mini-Kreeltjes.
