3 x tortilla rolls: savory, fresh and sweet

Must Try

Have you seen them in the store yet? The new Becel products in the flavors coconut oil & almond oil, avocado oil & lime oil and third with walnut oil. I received them at home and tasted them extensively and of course also made delicious recipes with them.

When I unpacked the box with the spreadable Becel at home, I was very curious, but frankly also a bit skeptical. Because would those flavors of coconut, avocado and walnut really be an addition? And do you taste it too? The answer is yes! The flavors really come out really well and the spread is also three times different in color. The coconut is almost white and the one with walnut is darker. And for this no artificial colors or flavors are used and they are free of preservatives. In addition, these margarine spreads are 100% vegetable, lactose-free and gluten-free.

These new products really surprised me positively and they are easy to spread straight from the fridge. It is something completely new that gives your sandwich, cracker or wrap a surprisingly delicious taste. While I was making the tortilla rolls, I was snacking on the tubs. The spread is also delicious without further toppings and therefore plain on a sandwich or toast. Especially the one with avocado oil & lime oil went hard, it’s fresh and delicious with chicken breast, on a healthy bun or hamburger bun. Becel with coconut oil is completely different and combines well with sweet flavors such as chocolate sprinkles, fruit or on gingerbread. And the variant with walnut oilis delicious with a cracker and flavors such as cheese, grapes or fig.

If I have to pick one favorite it’s very difficult. That depends on the moment and what I feel like, savory, fresh or sweet. The same goes for these tortilla rolls. All 3 were very successful and the flavors combined wonderfully with the spreads. These tortilla rolls are delicious for lunch or as a snack. Which one is your favourite?

Tips: also melt a lump of Becel with walnut oil on asparagus or beans. And the one with coconut oil on poffertjes or pancakes. hmm.

Savory tortilla rolls with cheese and bell pepper

A tasty and savory snack for a nice evening

2 large tortilla wraps
Becel with walnut oil
4 slices of cheese
6 slices of Serrano ham
Handful of arugula
2 grilled bell peppers from a jar/

Spread a generous layer of Becel with walnut oil on a tortilla. Divide 2 slices of cheese and 3 slices of Serrano ham, keep a strip of space open on 1 side. Drain the peppers well and cut into thin strips. Spread over the ham and add a little arugula.

Roll up the wrap and end at the piece that is not covered so that you can easily stick it to the roll. Wrap tightly in aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 2 hours and up to 1 day. Remove them from the foil and slice them with a sharp knife, the ends are usually not pretty but ideal for tasting. Stick a toothpick in it if necessary.

End at the strip that is not covered so that you can easily stick it to the roll. Wrap tightly in aluminum foil and refrigerate for at least 2 hours and up to 1 day. Remove them from the foil and cut into slices with a sharp knife. Stick a toothpick in it if necessary.

Sweet tortilla rolls with fruit
