3 x recipes for TUC toppings + Insiders promotion

Must Try

Today is Eric’s birthday! Although he prefers not to celebrate this big, I don’t want to let this pass unnoticed. That’s why I came up with some tasty birthday snacks for a nice party!

TUCs are often served on a plate during a party, drink or in the evening on the couch. But did you know that they are also ideal for investing with different toppings? And it also looks super festive and cozy! For Eric’s birthday I came up with and made 3 different creations and I am curious about your ideas.

There are different flavors of TUC such as Paprika, Bacon, Cheese, Original and the new Seeds & Chives. Each variant has its own unique taste and bite that can be combined with all kinds of toppings. For LeukRecepten I spend a lot of time coming up with tasty flavor combinations. I have now done the same with these snacks. The Seeds & Chives toasts, for example, are delicious with smoked salmon and a fresh Heksenkaas. The salty bite of Bacon ideally combines with the creamy and soft taste of avocado and goat cheese. And because the chicken curry salad already has a strong taste, I served it on a TUC Original. This way you can make very nice combinations. You can find the recipes for my TUC toppings at the bottom of this blog.

I also challenge you to come up with a tasty topping for TUC. This can be a spread or a simple investment. Think for example of mozzarella, hummus, egg salad, (dried) tomato, bell pepper, pine nuts, tuna or shrimp. I am very curious about your creations! So sign up as my Insider and receive a free TUC box at home with different flavors of TUC and get started!. And last but not least, the person with the nicest and tastiest idea will be proclaimed TUC TOPper and win an XL drink package! That’s sure to be a fun party!

My 3 TUC toppings:
You can prepare many things like the chicken curry salad and the Witches cheese (a day in advance). Do not fill the TUCs until just before serving, otherwise there is a chance that they will become a bit soft.

1. TUC Original with spicy chicken curry salad

Ingredients for approx. 15 pieces:
TUC Original
1 chicken breast
1 red pepper
2 teaspoons curry powder
2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Pinch of paprika
Pepper and salt
½ cucumber

Bring a pan with water and a pinch of salt to the boil. Add the chicken breast and cook for about 10 to 15 minutes until cooked through. Meanwhile, mix the yogurt, mayonnaise, curry powder, lemon juice, paprika, pepper and salt together. Half the red pepper, remove the seeds and finely chop. Add half to the sauce. You can use the other half as a garnish or leave it out if you want to make a less spicy version. Drain the chicken and pull separately with a fork into pulled chicken. Add this to the curry mixture and toss well. Cut the cucumber into thin slices. Place a slice on each TUC and spoon a little of the spicy chicken curry mixture on top. Garnish with the remaining red pepper.

2. TUC Bacon with avocado and tomato

Ingredients for about 12 pieces:
TUC Bacon
1 avocado
8 cherry tomatoes (or 2 large tomatoes)
125 gr soft goat cheese
Pinch of black pepper
Optional: lemon juice

Cut the cherry tomatoes (or large tomatoes) into small pieces and remove the seeds. Place in a bowl and add a small pinch of pepper. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit and peel and cut into thin slices. Sprinkle with a little lemon juice, if desired, to prevent discoloration. Top the TUC Bacon toast with a slice of avocado, crumble some goat cheese over it and scoop some of the tomato salsa on top.

3. TUC Seeds & Chives with Witch Cheese and Salmon

Ingredients for approx. 20 pieces:
TUC Seeds & Chives
200 g cream cheese natural
2 tablespoons Greek yogurt
1 garlic clove
30 g finely chopped leek
1 sprig of parsley
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Pinch of pepper and pepper
75 g smoked salmon
2 tablespoons pistachio nuts, unsalted

Place the leek, garlic and parsley in a food processor and mix very finely. You can also do this with a knife. Place in a bowl and add the Greek yogurt, cream cheese, lemon juice and a pinch of salt and pepper and toss with a spoon. Cut the smoked salmon into strips and make rolls. Spread the TUCs with the witch’s cheese and top with a salmon roll. Roughly chop the pistachio and sprinkle over the toasts.
