Mix leftover sauerkraut with apple and walnut and bake delicious sauerkraut cakes


500 g sauerkraut stew (leftover or half of this recipe )
1 egg
50 gr flour
1 apple
2 tbsp walnut in pieces
lump of butter
8 seasoned sausages


Mix the sauerkraut stew with the egg and flour. Peel the apple and cut into small pieces and mix with the sauerkraut together with the walnut. Heat a knob of butter in the pan and spoon a large tablespoon of the sauerkraut mixture into the pan and flatten slightly. After about 3 minutes, flip and brown both sides. Serve with the fried sausages.
