500 gr minced beef
1 outing
1 clove garlic, crushed
½ teaspoon dried mint
½ teaspoon dried oregano
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 teaspoon paprika powder spicy
Pepper and salt
3 tbsp breadcrumbs
1 egg
100 gr feta cheese sliced
Garlic sauce or tzatziki to serve with it


Grate or finely chop the onion and mix with the minced meat, herbs, garlic, lemon juice, egg and breadcrumbs. Knead into a firm mincemeat and add some extra breadcrumbs if necessary. Cut the feta into slices about 1 cm thick.

Take 1/6 of the minced meat and make a ball in your hand and flatten it. Place the feta in the middle and fold the minced meat around it and knead carefully into an elongated slightly flat meatball.

Make sure all seams are properly closed. Bake the bifteki in a (grill) pan for about 15 minutes until nicely browned on all sides. Serve with garlic sauce or tzatziki. Delicious with salad, rice or potatoes.
