600 g ham on the bone
1 orange
fresh thyme, stripped from the sprigs
3 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon mustard
2 tablespoons olive oil
pepper and salt


Heat the oven to 175 degrees. Grate the orange and squeeze out the juice and collect in a bowl. Stir together the orange zest and juice, honey, thyme and oil. Season with a little salt and pepper. Place the ham in a greased baking dish. Spoon the marinade over the meat.

Place the ham in the oven for about 55 minutes (core temperature of 65 degrees). Occasionally baste the meat with the liquid and marinade. In the meantime you can get started with potatoes and vegetables. Let the ham on the bone rest for a few minutes after you take it out of the oven. Then cut it into slices, the inside should be a nice pink and should no longer be red. Delicious with, for example, baked potatoes, bimi or asparagus.
