Must Try

Sandwich with a Mexican burger of minced meat and corn with guacamole and tomato salsa as a healthy topping

Ingredients

Civilian:
400 gr minced beef
1 tsp cumin powder
1 teaspoon paprika powder
small can of corn
1 clove of garlic
pinch of salt and pepper
1 egg
3 tbsp breadcrumbs
tomato salsa:
3 tomatoes
1 red onion
Small bunch of coriander
1 clove of garlic
1 tbsp oil
Quick guacamole:
2 avocado
1 red pepper
1 lime
Other:
2 handfuls of lettuce
4 slices of cheddar cheese
4 hard buns
1 tbsp oil for frying

Preparation

Make the tomato salsa first so that it can marinate. Cut the tomato into pieces and remove the watery part with the seeds. Cut the rest of the flesh into pieces. Finely chop the onion and mix with the tomato pieces. Also finely chop the coriander and garlic and toss with the oil through the tomatoes. Cover the salsa and refrigerate.

Knead cumin, pepper, salt, garlic and paprika powder through the minced meat. Add the egg and breadcrumbs and mix until stiff. If it is still very sticky, add some extra breadcrumbs. Drain the corn well and knead it through the minced meat so that it is evenly distributed. Make 4 balls and flatten them to form a burger. Place the burgers covered in the refrigerator.

Cut the avocado in half around the pit and unscrew the halves. Remove the pit and skin and mash the flesh with a fork. Squeeze the lime and add it directly to the avocado so that it does not discolour. Chop the red pepper very finely and fold through the guacamole.

Heat some oil or butter in a pan and fry the burgers for about 10 minutes until they are nicely browned and cooked through. Meanwhile, cut the buns in half and top with some lettuce. Place the burgers on top and a slice of cheddar cheese. Spoon a generous scoop of guacamole and some tomato salsa on top.
