Must Try

These vegetarian burgers with lentils and carrots are tasty, healthy and ideal for a day of no meat

1 shallot
1 garlic clove
1 egg
½ tablespoon lemon juice
40 g grated cheese
100 g carrot
75 to 100 g breadcrumbs
fresh coriander
salt and pepper
pinch cayenne pepper
oil or butter for frying
4 sandwiches
50 gr feta
handful of lettuce
3 tomatoes
food processor

Place the carrot, shallot and garlic in a food processor and grind slightly. Then add the lentils, lemon juice, coriander and cheese and grind to a fine mass (or slightly coarser if you prefer).

Place the mixture in a bowl and add the egg, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Then fold in the breadcrumbs until it forms a firm mass. Form 3 or 4 burgers from the mixture. Let the burgers stiffen in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (dust the plate with a little extra breadcrumbs if you want to prevent sticking).
