Indian endive stew

Must Try

Endive stew with an Indian twist and spicy meatballs in soy sauce

Boil the potatoes in a pan with water for about 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine all the ingredients for the meatballs in a bowl. Make balls of this. Heat a little oil or butter in a frying pan and fry the balls until brown on all sides over high heat and then fry them over low heat for about 12 minutes.
Meanwhile, drain the potatoes and add the endive little by little while mashing everything with a pestle. Add the coconut milk, butter and spices and mix well and heat through in the pan for a few more minutes.
Remove the balls from the pan and add the soy sauce and a dash of water and stir the sticks with a wooden spatula. Let the mixture thicken slightly to a dark gravy. Then add the meatballs back to the pan with the gravy and toss through.
Serve the endive stew with the meatballs, extra gravy and some fried onions.
