Burger with watermelon salsa

Refreshing burger with small pieces of watermelon and avocado puree, delicious from the pan or from the BBQ



 Bake the burgers in a pan or on the BBQ until nicely browned and cooked through, about 5 to 10 minutes (depending on the thickness). Put a slice of cheddar cheese on top at the end and let it melt slightly (don’t turn the burger anymore). Mash the avocado with a fork and add the juice of half a lime and a pinch of salt and pepper.

 Cut the watermelon into very small pieces and add the rest of the lime juice and toss through. Chop the basil finely and toss through the watermelon as well. Cut open the buns and divide some lettuce over them. Place the burger with cheese on top and spread some avocado puree on it. Spoon the watermelon salsa on top and serve the rest in a small bowl.
