Pasta with prawns in creamy sauce

Must Try

This pasta dish is nice and creamy and fresh due to the addition of lemon juice. A delicious combination with shrimps and crispy green asparagus tips.

Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic. Heat some oil in a pan and fry the onion and garlic. Cut off the ends of the asparagus tips and add the asparagus to the pan. Deglaze immediately with white wine and let the alcohol evaporate in about 3 minutes. Then add the cream and sun-dried tomatoes. Let it simmer and thicken for about 5-10 minutes. If the sauce is too runny, you can add cornflour for a thicker sauce. In the meantime, cook the spaghetti according to the package.

Finally, add the precooked king prawns to the cream sauce and season with plenty of black pepper, salt and lemon juice. Heat for another 5 minutes and serve the shrimps with vegetables and the sauce with the spaghetti.

Tips: the asparagus tips can also easily be replaced by other types of vegetables. Think of spinach, snow peas or bell pepper. If you don’t like eating with your hands, you can also buy peeled prawns/shrimp.
