This healthy variation on the well-known kapsalon (also called chicken salon) is made with sweet potato, chicken, fresh vegetables and a yogurt sauce! Includes handy step by step video




 Heat the oven to 200 degrees. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut into pieces. Put them in a bowl and add a tablespoon of oil and a little salt and pepper and toss. Divide over a baking tray and roast for about 15 to 17 minutes. Meanwhile, fry the chicken in a pan with a little butter or oil and add the shoarma spices. Crush the garlic clove and add it to the yogurt along with a little lemon juice or water, if desired. Cut the cucumber and tomatoes into pieces. Remove the sweet potato from the oven and divide between 2 small oven dishes or 1 larger one.

 Turn on the grill in the oven or heat it to 230 degrees. Divide the chicken over the potato and sprinkle with cheese. Place in the oven for a few minutes until the cheese has melted. Remove the chicken parlor from the oven and top with iceberg lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes and some garlic sauce.
