 Finely chop the walnuts and mix with the ricotta, a pinch of pepper and 2 tablespoons of pesto.

 Cut shapes out of the pasta dough with a ravioli masher (or use a ravioli mold or glass). Take a teaspoon of the filling and place it on a circle of dough. Wet the edges slightly with some water and place another circle on top and press. If necessary, seal well with a fork. You can also place a pile of filling on a sheet of pasta, cover with a new sheet and then push out with a mold.
 Bring a pan of water to the boil and cook the ravioli in batches for about 2 to 3 minutes. You notice this when they float to the top. Remove them from the pan with a slotted spoon and place on a plate. Drizzle with some olive oil and sprinkle with some cheese and some basil leaves.
