The classic combination of gado gado, vegetables, egg and peanut sauce combined on a bun with a veggie burger. That’s a nice variation on the hamburger.

Peanut Sauce

Preparation

Boil the eggs hard for about 7 to 8 minutes.
Heat the coconut milk and caster sugar in a pan and stir gently until the sugar has dissolved.
Gradually add the peanut butter until it is fully incorporated into the sauce.
Add the soy sauce and stir.
Add the sambal (to taste), do this in small amounts so that you can taste how spicy the sauce is in between.
Let the sauce thicken for a few minutes. If the sauce gets too thick, you can add some milk.
Slice the cucumber and eggs.
Fry the veggie burgers in a pan.
Cut open the buns (toast them if necessary).
Top the sandwiches with cucumber slices, a handful of carrot julienne, the burger, egg slices, some bean sprouts and finally the peanut sauce. Sprinkle with fried onions and cover with the top part of the bun.
Tips: Instead of a veggie burger you can also take a burger of minced beef or something
