Lactose-free spaghetti carbonara with cream sauce

The lactose-free version of this classic with cream sauce. Delicious with fresh parsley and fried bacon.



Cook the spaghetti according to the package and then drain.
Meanwhile, continue with the sauce. Grate the Parmesan cheese and coarsely chop the fresh parsley.
Place the cream, crème frache and egg in a bowl with a pinch of salt and pepper and whisk together. Then add the grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
Bake the bacon in a frying pan for 5 minutes until crispy. Then finely chop the garlic and shallot and fry them with the bacon.
Add the cream mixture to the spaghetti and mix well until the Parmesan cheese has melted.
When the bacon is done, place it on a paper towel lined plate to allow most of the fat to drain out. Then add them to the pasta and stir it in as well.
Serve with some fresh parsley & Parmesan cheese
Tip: Make this dish vegetarian by adding vegetarian bacon and choosing an (old) cheese with vegetarian rennet.
