Delicious from the bbq or from the pan: pita bread with a homemade hamburger, roasted peppers and feta cheese.



Place the bell pepper at the top of the oven and roast it at 220°C for 30 minutes until it turns black. You can also blacken it on the bbq.
Place the ground beef in a bowl and add the egg, breadcrumbs, oregano, salt and pepper.
Knead and make 4 equal balls. Flatten the balls into a hamburger shape (note the size of the pita bread).
Heat a little butter in a pan and fry the burgers for about 10 minutes or until they are nicely browned on the BBQ.
Bake the pita breads in an oven if necessary and cut them completely open.
Remove the skin and stem from the bell pepper and cut the flesh into strips.
Also slice the tomato.
Spread a little lettuce on the bottom part of the pita bread. Place the hamburger on top and some slices of tomato and bell pepper. Crumble over the feta and cover with the top part of the pita bread.
Also delicious with tzatziki sauce.
