Make your dish a real work of art with these creamy potato waffles as a side dish
Mix the mashed potatoes with the eggs, flour and cheese in a bowl. Finely chop the chives and toss through as well. Grease the waffle iron with a little oil or butter. Spoon some of the mashed potatoes into the mold and close. Bake them lightly for about 4 to 5 minutes. Remove them more carefully and repeat a few more times until the mixture is used up. For example, cut them in half at an angle and serve on a plate with a piece of meat, fish and/or vegetables.
They are best straight from the waffle iron, but you can also heat them in the oven for a few minutes. Microwave is also possible, but then they will be a bit weaker. Also delicious with some sour cream.
