You can make this Japanese teriyaki sauce yourself with 6 ingredients and it is delicious in a wok recipe with meat and/or vegetables



 Heat the oil in a pan. Add the water, soy sauce and caster sugar. Let these resolve. Cut the garlic clove in half and add to the sauce. Bring the mixture to a boil. Remove the garlic. Dissolve the cornflour in a few drops of water and pour into the sauce and stir immediately with a whisk. Let it thicken for a few more minutes and your teriyaki sauce is ready. Sprinkle with some sesame seeds if desired.
 Tip: 150 ml of teriyaki sauce is approximately equal to the amount for a dish for 4 people.
