Fun to make with the kids: apple turnovers in the shape of a scary Halloween pumpkin

Heat the oven to 200 degrees.
Peel the apple and cut into small cubes. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice and mix together.
Cut a slightly smaller pumpkin shape from 5 sheets of puff pastry and a slightly larger pumpkin shape from the other 5 sheets. You can also make a mold from a piece of paper or cardboard or cut a circle out of it and stick a stem to it. Also cut a mouth and eyes from the larger pumpkin shapes.
Divide the apple among the smaller pumpkin shapes on the baking sheet. Place the larger shape over it and press the edges well with a fork.
Brush the Halloween apple turnovers with a beaten egg and sprinkle with a little sugar. Bake them in the oven for about 20 minutes until nicely browned and crispy.
