Christmas wreath of cocktail sausages

How nice is this on the Christmas table? This wreath of puff pastry snacks filled with small frankfurters is perfect for lunch or snack during the holidays.

Preparation

 Heat the oven to 200 degrees. Drain the cocktail sausages. Take a slice of puff pastry, let it thaw for a few minutes and cut the slice into 4 squares. Cut each square diagonally from top left to bottom right. So you get 8 triangles. Place the cocktail sausage in the shortest point of the puff pastry sheet and fold the other points inwards and over each other.

 Repeat with all sausages and puff pastry slices. Place the sausages side by side in a round wreath. Let the sausages alternate a little, that looks extra nice. Beat the egg and rub it into the puff pastry. Divide the Italian herbs over it. Bake the wreath for about 25 minutes or until the wreath is golden brown and cooked through.
